My name is Pat Santner, and I've been sewing all my life. My mom taught me to sew and I made my own clothes throughout high school. I graduated from the University of Vermont in 1980 with a degree in Clothing, Textiles & Design. By then I knew I didn't want to go into the fashion industry in the areas of merchandising or design. I accepted a job in higher education financial aid and spent the next 25 years in this field. By 2005 I decided I'd had enough of numbers and wanted to get back to being creative, and in 2006 Just Sew was born. Since then I've made hundreds of slipcovers, cushions, and pillows, as well as window treatments and more. I'm passionate about sewing and continue to take classes to learn more about new sewing techniques. In the last ten years I've started quilting and doing machine embroidery. My latest obsession is wool appliqué.
